MATERIALITY
McDermott’s materiality process
identi昀椀es the sustainability
areas that matter most to our
suppliers, customers, workforce,
and other key stakeholders
Our materiality assessments are used to
inform our priorities and guide our disclosures
to ensure the information we share is relevant
and a sound basis for decision making. In
2025, we completed our 昀椀rst double materiality
assessment (DMA) in line with European Union’s
Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (EU
CSRD) requirements, to identify sustainability
topics that matter from a 昀椀nancial perspective
and those with potential impacts on people,
the environment, or society. Over 昀椀ve
months, more than 500 internal and external
stakeholders – including subject matter
experts – provided insights on impacts, risks,
and opportunities through surveys and focus
group discussions. Our Executive Sustainability
Committee and Board validated the DMA
results, and those results guide the topics
covered in this report.
