McDermott takes a pragmatic and integrated
approach to sustainability. By combining
engineering depth with operational experience
across the project lifecycle, we embed
sustainability into delivery. We prioritize material
topics that matter most to our stakeholders:
reliable data, resilient supply chains, human
rights, and solutions that reduce emissions while
improving ef昀椀ciency.
Our 2025 Sustainability Report outlines
McDermott’s progress in embedding sustainability
into project delivery through disciplined execution,
responsible business practices, and a strong
safety culture, delivering progress across our
sustainability program and portfolio.
Innovation and Lower-Carbon Delivery:
Our renewable energy initiatives and ISO
50001 accomplishments expand lowcarbon delivery options. Energy ef昀椀ciency
improvements in our fabrication yards
reduced emissions and operating costs
with all major yards operating on renewable
electricity offering lower embodied carbon in
modular fabrication.
Responsible Business and Human Rights: We
take a proactive approach to managing human
rights risks across our workforce and supply chain.
Leading with Safety: Safety remains our priority.
In 2025, we launched our Life-Saving Rules to
reinforce critical behaviors and controls and
strengthen a culture that supports consistent
delivery of leading safety performance.
In 2025, our teams supported projects with
sustainability data, circularity plans, human
rights due diligence, and national content
programs. We launched McDermott’s Circularity
Calculator aligned with ISO 59020 and exceeded
our energy ef昀椀ciency goals, securing ~92% of grid
electricity from renewable sources and achieving
energy management (ISO 50001) certi昀椀cation for
three vessels.
Disciplined Execution: Our integrated
capabilities, owned assets, and global execution
model support high-quality delivery from
engineering through to commissioning.
We advanced supply chain transparency
and resilience, laying the foundation for
accounting for supply chain emissions and
expanding human rights assessment to
cover 76% of our sites. Our social programs
earned Uganda’s National Content and Social
Performance Excellence recognition for the
third consecutive year.
Our progress is driven by our employees. We
continued to invest in their development and
mobility, earning recognition as a Top Employer
in Houston and a Great Place to Work in India
and Malaysia.
We strengthened disclosures through
improved data, governance, and controls.
In 2025, McDermott received a CDP score of
C and an EcoVadis Bronze Medal, placing
the company in the top 35% of assessed
organizations.
We will continue to lead with safety, advance
our sustainability program, deliver lowercarbon energy infrastructure, and invest in our
