HUMAN RIGHTS MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK
McDermott respects human rights within our own operations
and across our value chain. Our risk-based approach prioritizes
human rights due diligence to be proactive and identify risks
before there are incidents
Our human rights management framework
aligns with the United Nations Guiding
Principles for Business on Human Rights
and International Labour Organization (ILO)
conventions to proactively prevent human
rights issues and deliver transparency
across supply chains, increasing stakeholder
trust and supporting long-term sustainable
operations.
Our human rights management framework
follows 昀椀ve steps:
Commitment: our Human Rights policy
states our commitment to respecting
human rights within our own operations
and across our value chain.
Risk assessment and prioritization: we
integrate human rights risk assessments
into annual site screening and supplier
registration processes. Risk is assessed
based on factors such as country of
operation and scope or category of
service. The risk assessment informs our
human rights due diligence efforts.
Issue prevention: raising awareness
among our employees and suppliers
of importance about human rights and
workers’ welfare supports proactive
intervention and prevention of incidents.
In 2025, 3,379 employees participated
in modern slavery training, in addition
to site-based toolbox talks themed
around human rights and our Speak Up!
program.
