BARBRA KARUNGI, MANAGER, SUSTAINABILITY
We measure our effectiveness through local employment, engagement of the
community and national suppliers, and delivery of training that builds local capacity.”
In Uganda, we continue to build
human capacity as McDermott’s incountry legacy. In 2025, our operations
received top honors for subcontractor
management and social performance
excellence, extending recognition for
community programs. We employed
more than 160 Ugandans, including 30
from host communities and procured
over USD $30 million in goods and
services from local suppliers.
