MATERIALITY
Assessing and identifying our sustainability priorities
Our robust materiality process positions us to focus on the most
signi昀椀cant and relevant sustainability issues, and act on the topics
of greatest relevance to customers and key stakeholders.
OUR PRIORITY TOPICS
WHAT INFORMS OUR REPORTING AND SUSTAINABILITY PRIORITIES
We are committed to accurate and transparent reporting.
Through our materiality process, we identify the sustainability
topics of greatest relevance to key stakeholders, which informs our
reporting and guides our sustainability strategy.
In line with our sustainability reporting guidelines, we conduct a
formal materiality assessment every three years and revalidate
results annually.
Safety
Corporate
Governance
In 2024, we revisited the topics identi昀椀ed through past internal
materiality assessments, considering customer requirements,
regulatory developments, changes to reporting frameworks and
standards, and strategic and workforce priorities.
We also conducted a double materiality assessment (DMA) in line
with the then current EU’s CSRD. That DMA process and outcome
will provide the foundation for future reporting under the CSRD. For
this report, our annual assessment identi昀椀ed eight priority topics
and eight other areas of importance for McDermott. This 2024
report addresses each of those topics.
