Business ethics
We remain focused on continuous improvement in designing and
implementing programs that support our values and engage our
employees in recognizing how our values apply to them.
Following enhancement of our Speak Up program, developed in
2022, we have seen increased willingness to report potentially
actionable behavior. Employees have several mechanisms for
“speaking up,” including use of our Helpline as well as reports to
Ethics and Compliance, their managers, and Human Resources.
Having a strong Speak Up culture globally is core to our values. All
reported cases are reviewed and evaluated, and investigations
are carried out at the appropriate levels.
In 2024, a total of 233 reports were recorded through the Speak Up
program. The program also enables people in the communities
where we operate to report concerns or grievances.
We help spark awareness every November, during our annual
celebration of One Team for Integrity Month. The main goal is to
further strengthen our culture where people can feel they are part
of a company that values integrity.
During the month, we gather award nominations to recognize
employees who demonstrate exceptional commitment to integrity.
Each year, we receive many nominations from around the world.
We are proud of this program and the many ways it demonstrates
the value of a culture mature enough to recognize integrity and
ethical behaviors.
COMPLIANCE TRAINING
Consistent with our Code of Business Conduct, we provide mandatory training that clearly communicates the
expectations of every employee in the areas of Anti-Bribery, Avoiding Con昀氀icts of Interest, Combating Modern
Slavery, and Prevention of Forced Labor. These training sessions help underscore our values and the potential
consequences of non-compliance for the company and for individuals. These sessions encourage employees
to speak up in the event they know of or suspect a violation of law, McDermott’s Code of Business Conduct,
policy, or other misconduct.
In 2024, we continued to make our compliance program and processes more accessible to people through inperson interaction with leaders and user-friendly means for people to 昀椀nd information about our policies and
to speak up about any ethical concerns.
