DECARBONIZING OUR OPERATIONS
AUTOMATION AND USE OF INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY
We are using robots to conduct and inspect internal 昀椀eld joint coatings on our pipelines, improving
productivity, and are evaluating use of innovative lifting techniques like vacuum lifters to reduce our
reliance on energy intensive heavy lift cranage, to further improve our operational ef昀椀ciency.
DIGITAL EFFICIENCY
We have introduced real-time data processing capabilities across our major assets, enabling immediate
corrective action to reduce energy waste. We aim to expand these capabilities across all our assets to
enhance overall operational performance.
While we continue operating in a challenging area to decarbonize, we are leveraging commercially
available technologies to achieve our climate goals. We seek to implement changes and solutions available
today, and to adapt and evolve as new, cleaner technologies become available at scale in the market.
EQUIPMENT MODERNIZATION
We have evaluated our infrastructure and developed business plans to replace older, less ef昀椀cient
machinery with electric and more ef昀椀cient models across our operations. From LED lights to electric variable
frequency drive compressors, these equipment upgrades have reduced our direct emissions.
